Chief Deputy Craig Necaise was born and raised in Pass Christian, Mississippi. He is a 2002 graduate of Pass Christian High School. He went on to graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.
Chief Necaise began his career in law enforcement in 2002 as a part-time dispatcher and patrol officer for the Pass Christian Police Department. In 2005, he joined the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy, conducting criminal patrol throughout Harrison County. Chief Necaise has been a Certified Accident Reconstructionist since 2007, responsible for reconstructing fatal accidents throughout Harrison County. In 2008, he was promoted to Sergeant in the Patrol Division. In 2016, he was promoted to the rank of Captain, supervising a patrol shift and the Accident Reconstruction Unit for the sheriff’s office.
In 2021, Chief Necaise transferred to the Administrative Division where he served as the Captain over the Professional Standards Unit, responsible for conducting internal administrative investigations, applicant background development, and department staff inspections.
In 2023, Chief Necaise was promoted to the position of Chief Deputy where he assist the Sheriff in the performance of the administrative activities for the Office including operations, corrections, records, payroll, staffing, budgeting, and purchasing.
Chief Necaise is married to his wife, Mandie, and they have two daughters.
